Today we left early and went to Bamburgh Castle. It is right on the coast of the North Sea. Off the coast of Bamburgh Castle is Holy Island. It was a beautiful day, sunny (partly cloudy) but the wind was blowing right off the North Sea. It is so cold, the wind goes right through you. The Castle was built ( its beginnings is indeterminate) and was rebuilt in the 1890's. It juts up right off the coast of the North Sea. We loved going through the Castle and seeing all that there wasto see. We had a very pleasant day.
