Sister McBride

This is Sister Shelia McBride on the left of the picture with her daughter Shelia Holiness. Sister McBride is about 70 years old and has been a member of the church for about 14 years. Her daughter was baptized before she was and the mother (Sister McBride) said that she would never join the church. But a friend of hers gave her a Book of Mormon and she started to read it and has been reading it faithfully every day since. She is a sweet lady who we visit on Monday mornings. So today I thought I would tell you about her. When we first came to Newton Aycliffe I went to shake hands with Sister McBride and she said that she couldn't because she has very sensitive bones. So when we leave she always gives me a kiss on the cheek. We feel very blessed to have known her and to have been able to hear her conversion story. She is a faithful member of the Newton Aycliffe Ward.

One comment that I would make about her daughter's hair color. Over here in England this is a very common color, bright red!!!
